Ulekan Bali

Ulekan Bali is number one for a reason. I could not stop talking about the meal I had here while in Bali. It was packed with flavor and the right amount of spice. Located in Canggu, Ulekan is a celebration of Indonesian cuisine and works closely with neighborhood farmers for locally sourced ingredients. The ambiance is charming and allows you to feel right at home.  I can't wait to go back and dine here!

Warung Pulau Kelapa

Looking for an authentic Indonesian meal in Ubud? You can get that and more at Warung Pulau Kelapa. The restaurant is surrounded by a lush garden with outdoor seating. My travel crew and I found Warung Pulau Kelapa while in search for a true Indonesian meal that wasn't Europeanized to attract tourists. Everything from the art work to the cultural attire worn by waitresses gave a true Bali dining experience. The drinks were tasty and the food will leave your taste buds wanting more. Not to mention, everything on the menu is affordable so go ahead and have a feast.  Oh, and order the chicken satay, a popular Indonesian dish.

Kynd Community

Kynd Community is a plant-based café located in Seminyak. Who doesn't love an instagrammable restaurant? The food is great but to some, its on the pricy side. I would suggest coming here for breakfast to grab a smoothie bowl with your name on it. They have a large menu with a variety of salads, sandwiches and beverages.

La Plancha Beach Bar

La Plancha Bali is a cute beachfront restaurant nestled on Seminyak beach. Its not hard to spot the colorful beach shack at all - umbrellas and vibrant colored bean bags are lined up on the sand in front of the bar. This is the perfect spot for drinks. I didn't try the food while I was there but the dishes I saw on neighboring tables looked delicious. If you're looking for a place to kick back on the beach, go to La Plancha.

Indus Restaurant

Another restaurant with an amazing view. Indus is an elegant 2-level Balinese-Indian restaurant that overlooks the Tjampuhan valley. My good friend celebrated her birthday her and the service was impeccable. We dined here on a less busier night and our food arrived to our table in good time. They serve everything from seafood paella to whole grilled fish served in banana leaves. Every Monday, there's a Latin band and every Friday the restaurant hosts a fresh fish feast. Indus is perfect for an intimate lunch or romantic dinner.
